Vigo di Fassa, the sunniest and most panoramic village in the Fassa Valley, is just a few minutes from the Ciampedie Plateau, the “Field of God”. At an altitude of 2,000 metres, this panoramic balcony overlooks the Fassa Valley and the Dolomites, in the centre of the Rosengarten Group, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
During the summer months, you can hike through the woods or ride mountain bikes to refuges along routes of varying degrees of difficulty, reaching high altitudes to admire the wonderful landscapes and experience what it’s like to feel as if you could reach up and touch the sky.
For a green holiday on two wheels, why not try the Dolomites bike route from Fiemme to Fassa, an ideal way of discovering the countryside by bike?
It is the most popular route for bike enthusiasts, running along the Avisio stream on a route that stretches for almost 48 km with a difference in altitude of 650 m.
Once you’ve arrived at your destination, you can take the bus back to your departure point (service bus or the Bike Express Fassa Fiemme service).
During the winter months, the area offers 15 km of slopes of different levels, from nursery slopes to black runs. Snow-shoeing excursions are also available. The valley’s Dolomite mountains also make the ideal environment plenty of other fun and relaxing activities that will allow you to get up close to nature.
We would be delighted to welcome guests at the A. Fronza alle Coronelle Refuge and the Baita Checco, where you can enjoy delicious, typical dishes on the unforgettable panoramic terrace topped off by the extraordinarily beautiful Dolomites.
